Traffic may be heavier than usual on Burelli St, Corrimal St, Stewart St and Crown St as fans travel to and from the game.

Local roads around the stadium may close before, during and after the game for the safety of pedestrians.

Fans driving to the game on the freeway are encouraged to use the Masters Rd exit to avoid congestion at Mount Ousley Rd, both in and out of Wollongong.

Motorists should allow extra time for parking and be aware of increased pedestrian activity on local roads.

MOUNT OUSLEY INTERCHANGE PROJECT

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions while work is carried out on the Mount Ousley interchange project.

Road shoulder, single lane closures and stop/slow traffic conditions will be in place as required on:

• M1 Princes Mwy between Mount Ousley Rd and Northfields Ave
• Mount Ousley Rd
• Irvine St
• Northfields Ave (including northbound M1 Princes Mwy on and off ramps)
• Dumfries Ave

During the work, traffic control and reduced speed limits will be in place at times.

A 60 km/h speed limit reduction is now in place on a one-kilometre section of the northbound lanes on the M1 Princes Motorway north of Northfields Avenue between 7am and 6pm, Mondays to Fridays.

A full night closure of Mount Ousley Road from Bulli Tops and Memorial Drive will take place on:

• Sunday 22 June
• Monday 23 June and
• Wednesday 25 June

Picton Road between Almond Street and M1 Princes Motorway will also have closures in place on these nights.

Motorists travelling between Wollongong and Bulli Tops will be detoured via Memorial Drive and Bulli Pass and should allow up to 15 minutes additional travel time. 

Motorists travelling between Wollongong and the Hume Motorway can detour via Memorial Drive, Bulli Pass, Appin Road, or the Illawarra Highway (Macquarie Pass) and should allow up to 40 minutes additional travel time.

These detours are not suitable for any OSOM vehicle or any vehicle exceeding 19 metres and/or 50.5 tonnes. Operators of these vehicles are advised to delay their journey as no alternative detour is available.

Single lane closures will be in place to facilitate bridge work.

From 8pm on Friday 20 to 8pm on Saturday 21 June, there will be single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h in place on the Princes Hwy across Ghost Creek Bridge.

From 8pm on Friday 20 to 4am on Thursday 27 June, all vehicles over 4.9 metres high will need to use the right-hand lane when passing underneath the bridge.

Motorists are advised to allow approximately 5 minutes of additional travel time.
